While we having been exploring our own semi-crunchy journey for a little over four years now, we know that many people in our family still think we are a bit on the hippie wagon. Yet and still, I’m always looking for ways to get our family and friends on a more natural journey of their own.  One of the ways I love to do this is by introducing them to essential oils.  They are so versatile and amazing that it’s no wonder that people typically fall in love with them after just a few uses.

Wonderful product, especially for the price! The oils came in and they smell wonderful! They appear to be of high quality, and I am excited to use them! The bottles are the same size, as described. They were a little oily when they arrived and they smelled strongly of eucalyptus, but I assume that's from shipping. The caps came off easily and they are nicely packaged. Great purchase!
If you’re anything like me, you’ve got a great stash of essential oils and are always looking for ways to use them. With the holidays coming up, I decided to make a bunch of DIY essential oil recipes to share with family and friends. Let me just tell you how much money this is going to save me! Woot! Plus, I love the idea of giving loved ones healthy, non-toxic products that they can use as toiletries or in their home. (For more natural gift ideas, check out this post.)
It’s useful whenever you have to send gifts to numerous little ones at one time, to make them similar enough but different, too. Under $20 gifts are almost always acceptable for kids. You can even keep it under $10, especially if you’re gifting to other mom’s kids. With that in mind, the following kinds of Christmas gifts are really going to ignite your lucky youngster’s love for essential oils.

So this year, I’m inspired to DIY much of my holiday gift-giving using one of my favorite things – essential oils! Not just any essential oils though – 100% pure, therapeutic-grade essential oils. I’ve been slightly obsessed with essential oils this year (and reusing essential oil bottles), so naturally, compiling my list of DIY holiday gift inspiration included lots of oily goodness.
These essential oils smell so good and they work wonderful! I won't order any other kind, these work great in your projects and are wonderful for medicinal purposes! I had a chance to use the tea tree oil for a home remedy and it worked in 1 treatment and I feel so much better! I've made bath bombs & lip balm and they are fabulous so much so I am throwing away all my other essential oils! Nothing but Woolzies for me!
I’m slowly becoming a linen spray junkie. I love to add a spritz (with Lavender) on my pillow before I hit the hay. It’s so soothing. What better way to say “I appreciate you” than with this DIY linen spray idea?  Use it to freshen up your sheets, towels, or anywhere else that’s kinda stinky. The scent possibilities are endless. Some of my favorites are Lavender, Peace & Calming, Roman Chamomile, and Purification. Learn how to make it here and buy pretty glass spritzer bottles to fill with your linen spray here.
Favorite Household Oils: Purification, Lemon, and Citrus Fresh are household ROCKSTARS. Yes, they smell as good as the names imply and have so many great uses. We use lemon oil to get stickers and labels off in seconds flat, and diffuse it with lavender for a spa-like scent. Purification gets rid of stinky odors– everything from animals to stinky shoes to laundry that’s been in the washer too long (oops)! Citrus Fresh does all of the above and is also heavenly to diffuse.
A little thing about me: I 💙 essential oils. I also love using my background in research to help people learn more about essential oils and all the wonderful ways they can be used. I share DIY recipes for natural cleaners that really work, non-toxic beauty solutions, and holistic wellness. My essential oil recipes, info, and tips have been viewed more than 20 million times. I've been featured on MindBodyGreen, Health & Natural Living, All Natural Ideas, This Natural Home, Natural Living Ideas, and Passion for Savings.

The smell of fresh laundry is amazing, but many times loaded with synthetic fragrances and chemicals that can wreak havoc on your skin and health. Make your own laundry detergent this holiday season with essential oils and share with your loved ones! Nothing says “I love you” like laundry detergent, right? I kid, I kid, buuut…some people dig these kinds of gifts. I’m one such person, but I’m not the definition of normal – just ask my darling husband. PLUS, it’s so easy to make, non-toxic, and cost effective. Learn how to make it here.

We recently bought essential oil aroma diffuser, so husband looked for essential oil. He found this set! Very satisfied with these various kinds of essential oils. I love it! We tried 3 of these already, lemon grass, eucalyptus and lavender. One of our favorite is the eucalyptus, very helpful and beneficial to my husband when he got cough and colds past few days. I always turn on our humidifier so he can get relaxed.

What are dryer balls and how do they work?  Add a couple of drops of your favorite essential oil to a dryer ball- use 3 dryer balls for small loads and 5-6 balls for large loads.  Dryer balls help reduce drying time and static- all without the toxic chemicals found in most dryer sheets.  Plus dryer balls are reusable; one set lasts for years.  Wouldn’t these make great gifts for your oily friends and team members?  Buy premium extra-large dryer balls at a great price here or find instructions for making your own dryer balls here

Sugar scrubs are **the perfect** gift for the ladies in your life. Heck, men too – we could all use a little exfoliation, no? But commercial brands are so expensive, and WORSE, filled with toxic chemicals and synthetic ingredients. Not this one. I love the use of Stress Away in this one – especially during the holidays. We could all stress a little less, no? Learn how to make it here.
