Mamas, it’s standard operating procedure that when our littles get sick, we don’t sleep. Right? Especially when that illness is accompanied by a cough that won’t quit. Growing up, Vicks VapoRub was a staple in our medicine cabinet, but that goop is loaded with toxic chemicals. The good news is there’s always a natural alternative to just about every malady your little might encounter. This rub is no exception. It’s made with Cypress and Lavender essential oils create a safe, soothing blend that will help your young guns to relax and promote sleep, and makes a great gift for the mamas in your life. TRUST ME – they will thank you when (not if!) the time comes and they’re dying for some shut-eye! Get the recipe here.
The heart itself is simply gorgeous, unique, and functional. It has some variation in the color that makes it look slightly aged- lots of character and very intricate. The SIX included lava beads are great for putting on different oils, and they are super easy to change out. The cross adds some character to a an already classy piece. If you are looking for a good locket necklace to add essential oils to, this is a great choice. Even better- great customer service. The hook on my necklace broke after the return period, and the nice folks at Maromalife were happy to send out a replacement.

The smell of fresh laundry is amazing, but many times loaded with synthetic fragrances and chemicals that can wreak havoc on your skin and health. Make your own laundry detergent this holiday season with essential oils and share with your loved ones! Nothing says “I love you” like laundry detergent, right? I kid, I kid, buuut…some people dig these kinds of gifts. I’m one such person, but I’m not the definition of normal – just ask my darling husband. I’m slowly becoming a linen spray junkie. I love to add a spritz (with Lavender) on my pillow before I hit the hay. It’s so soothing. What better way to say “I appreciate you” than with this DIY linen spray idea?  Use it to freshen up your sheets, towels, or anywhere else that’s kinda stinky. The scent possibilities are endless. Some of my favorites are Lavender, Peace & Calming, Roman Chamomile, and Purification. Learn how to make it here and buy pretty glass spritzer bottles to fill with your linen spray here.

Inside our basket we included Nature’s Truth Essential Oils, a pair of fuzzy socks (who doesn’t love fuzzy socks!?), DIY Homemade Bath Bombs, DIY Homemade Room Spray, and DIY No-Sew Rice Heating Pack. Everyone always wants to make sure that their houses look and smell amazing for company, so we bust our butts cleaning every last detail and cooking food for 3x the amount of people we invited. While the get together goes off without a hitch and no one realized that you completely forgot to scrub an entire section of the baseboards in the kitchen, you melt into a puddle of exhaustion the second you close the door behind the last guest.  This type of exhaustion needs pampering and that’s exactly why this is the perfect hostess gift.
Pour almost 2 ounces of your Castor Oil into your dropper bottle. Add your essential oils. Put on dropper lid and shake bottle. Apply to your scalp each morning and massage into scalp. Wait 20 minutes and then wash hair. You can also apply before bed. If you want to apply more frequently without an oil feel, you can make the serum using almost 2 ounces of distilled water and 1 teaspoon of witch hazel instead of the castor oil.
Sugar scrubs are **the perfect** gift for the ladies in your life. Heck, men too – we could all use a little exfoliation, no? But commercial brands are so expensive, and WORSE, filled with toxic chemicals and synthetic ingredients. Not this one. I love the use of Stress Away in this one – especially during the holidays. We could all stress a little less, no? Learn how to make it here.
The ultra-minty combination of aloe and peppermint feels tingly and refreshing. Plus, an aromatherapy blend of lavender and peppermint essential oils clears your mind so you can relax. Favorite Household Oils: Purification, Lemon, and Citrus Fresh are household ROCKSTARS. Yes, they smell as good as the names imply and have so many great uses. We use lemon oil to get stickers and labels off in seconds flat, and diffuse it with lavender for a spa-like scent. Purification gets rid of stinky odors– everything from animals to stinky shoes to laundry that’s been in the washer too long (oops)! Citrus Fresh does all of the above and is also heavenly to diffuse.
Hi there! The reason that you need to use dark bottles is because of the Essential Oils that go into the recipes. Essential Oils are AMAZING, but really sensitive to light. Using a dark colored glass bottle or jar is what helps to keep them safe. If you do use something that is clear make sure to store it in a cool, dry, and dark place so that it isn’t heated and definitely no direct sunlight! Also, if you use plastic the essential oils will eventually eat away at the plastic because they are potent. When I use a plastic container I only use it once. You can find storage bottles and supplies at abundanthealth4u.com
Recently purchased this product and am going to buy one for each of my daughters. It is easy to use and is very quiet. Makes my bedroom smell great and the lights can be used or not. My husband and I use [[ASIN:B01MF7E0ME Lunexa – All Natural Daily Sleep Formula for Deep Relaxing Sleep and Stress Relief]] after a stressful day. The diffusers provide a calm environment for relaxation. We took them to our doctor and he said they were safe for us to take every day. We take them about an hour or so before we are ready to go to bed. The one thing is when you start to feel tired do not fight them just go to bed.
