So then, where is the recipe credit on this site?! These recipes are NOT rocket science- the base of the ingredients are the base of all EO recipes. From there, all you have to know is the uses of each oil. For the most part anything skin and hair are Pete and Repeat over and over. Unless someone comes up with some magical new recipe on their own the credit is not theirs. These are ancient oils and recipes forgotten by the population and traded for easy, pretty, and sometimes “better” fragrances. The issue is the chemicals are TOXIC. So, if anyone needs to credit or cite you could start looking in B.C. time. I’m not sure they used A.P.A.
Besides fresh-smelling laundry, dryer balls can quicken drying times by around 25% (varies on your dryer, clothes, and the amount of balls you use). Besides being super-friendly to Mother Earth, it’s good for the wallet. Unless you’re Warren Buffet, you like to save money, right? Even better, dryer balls are also non-toxic and can be scented with your favorite essential oil. Learn how to make you own dryer balls here.
This fun an kid-appropriate Unicorn Essential Oil Diffuser is a perfect starter unit for your kid. It is also made of high-quality, grippy plastic materials so it won’t slip through those little fingers too easily. It’s an honest 5/ out of 5 stars little diffuser and you can find it on Amazon here.
Hi there! The reason that you need to use dark bottles is because of the Essential Oils that go into the recipes. Essential Oils are AMAZING, but really sensitive to light. Using a dark colored glass bottle or jar is what helps to keep them safe. If you do use something that is clear make sure to store it in a cool, dry, and dark place so that it isn’t heated and definitely no direct sunlight! Also, if you use plastic the essential oils will eventually eat away at the plastic because they are potent. When I use a plastic container I only use it once. You can find storage bottles and supplies at abundanthealth4u.com
So this year, I’m inspired to DIY much of my holiday gift-giving using one of my favorite things – essential oils! Not just any essential oils though – 100% pure, therapeutic-grade essential oils. I’ve been slightly obsessed with essential oils this year (and reusing essential oil bottles), so naturally, compiling my list of DIY holiday gift inspiration included lots of oily goodness.

Dreamer, thinker, + lemon squeezer; you'll usually find me clutching a mug of coffee, glue gun, fandeck of paint colors, and a child at any given time. This mom of two (and wife to one) loves to share freshly squeezed ideas for home and family. Join the adventure as we learn most lemons can indeed become lemonade-- with generous amounts of sweetness, perspective, and love.
Glass Spray Bottles: Making your own room spray, linen spray, and other household goodies is limited only by your imagination. It’s always nice to include a few premade concoctions for your friend’s new home! Citrus oils can eat right through plastic so to stay on the safe side I use glass bottles for my mixtures. Mix Purification oil with some water and witch hazel to make an amazing DIY Home Spray (also works as an outdoor camping spray, too!) We make an Ant Spray using lemon oil, peppermint oil, vodka, and water– it seriously works wonders. Or whip up a DIY detangling spray for a chemical free way to detangle hair.
I’m slowly becoming a linen spray junkie. I love to add a spritz (with Lavender) on my pillow before I hit the hay. It’s so soothing. What better way to say “I appreciate you” than with this DIY linen spray idea?  Use it to freshen up your sheets, towels, or anywhere else that’s kinda stinky. The scent possibilities are endless. Some of my favorites are Lavender, Peace & Calming, Roman Chamomile, and Purification. Learn how to make it here and buy pretty glass spritzer bottles to fill with your linen spray here.
This is a classic spray that makes your laundry smell uh-mazing and helps to support well-being. Once your clothes come out of dryer or cloth’s line, spray your sheets liberally. Because Lavender essential oil is gentle, this is safe to use on your children’s sheets before bedtime. You could also use this as a soothing body spray or perfume (replace the distilled water with a light carrier oil like fractionated coconut oil.)
I ordered this as a gift for my wife because she is an avid essential oils person. We use oils in our house daily for about anything you can think of. From cleaning to illness, the oils really do come in handy. I have been made a believer. That being said my wife loves the Maromalife Aromatherapy Essential Oil Diffuser necklace. It lets her use and take whatever oil she is fond of for the day with her and able to diffuse the oil throughout the day. The different color lava stones are nice because she is able to switch up the stone to match her outfit, or just match the oil. She will use certain colors for certain oils. We like the lava stones as a diffuser better than the little canister diffuser necklace we have tried in the past. They were not very consistent with the strength and ... full review
